Aku si pencari jejak.
Kau boleh tutup mataku, ikat aku dan buang aku dimanapun,
Aku pasti akan menemukan jalanku.

Jalanku, ya demikian ku sebut dengan lantang.
Bukan rumah, pun bukan menujumu.
Hanya tempat dimana segalaku ada padaku dan bersamaku.

Ah, kenapa banyak sekali tanya bergulir dari bibirmu kawan?

Kau tanya bagaimana aku mampu menemukan jejak?
Nyeri hatiku mendengar kalimatmu itu, ternyata kau tak sungguh mengenalku.

Bumi begitu kaya, sungguh membuang waktu kalau harus kujelaskan ini padamu.
Bahkan seekor kura-kura mampu berenang nyaris separuh bumi dan kembali ke pantai tempat ia dilahirkan. Ini bukan bohong kawan, sungguh!

Aku si pencari jejak.
Hidungku bahkan mengernyit mencium bau kebohongan, seberapapun cantik kau bermain peran.

Sudahlah, toh kau takkan percaya kata-kataku.
Sekarang lebih baik kau tutup saja mataku dan tinggalkan aku di suatu tempat.
Heh? Kau pikir aku akan menemukanmu? Mencari jejakmu?
Sudah hilang akal betul rupanya kau kawan...

Aku si pencari jejak, terhebat dan tak tertandingi.
Untuk apa ku buktikan itu padamu?

Jadi sudah, tinggalkan saja aku disini.
Tak perlu kau buka penutup mataku, akan kubuka kalau kau sudah tak tampak.
Dan kalau memang jalanku bersisian denganmu, pencarian jejakku akan menuju padamu.
Jadi tak usahlah kau bersedih hati.

Jejak-jejak kita akan menuntun pada jalan kita masing-masing.
